Iron Age Mound

Set on top of a hill overlooking the landscape is an iron age mound (unexcavated). There is a plaque on the surrounding wall that reads.

"This ancient mound was enclosed and planted by Christopher Bor Esq AD 1760"

It is a quiet place where Christopher Bor would have sat and enjoyed the all fine views of his estate as have all the subsequent owners of Ballindoolin through the years. Now it is illegal to enclose and plant an historic site.
